The Dashboard Window displays items that are likely to need regular, repeating action on your part, and helps you to initiate that action at exactly the right time. It monitors your database for new gifts that have not yet been acknowledged by letter, and maintains the tally on-screen. The number of days since the oldest unacknowledged gift was received is also displayed. These items help you decide when to send thank you letters and recognition products: the time that will be considered by the donor to be a prompt acknowledgement, yet also a time when you can do a significant number of thank yous all at once for efficiency. When you are ready to produce your letters, the Dashboard buttons will quickly produce the lists of gift records you need to perform exports and print mailing labels.
The same approach is used to monitor pledge fulfillment and membership renewals. By displaying a tally of those pledges and memberships nearing or recently past their term, you can pick the best time to call or mail to these donors for their renewed participation. Buttons next to the tallies instantly list the specific membership or pledge records needing your attention.
The Dashboard also maintains the total amount of the current day's new gifts, and provides direct access to the records if you want to look at them:
