The File menu provides preferences and administration functions in addition to navigation between modules. (Under Mac OS X, preferences are accessed from the FUNDimensions menu.) Each user you define with a password and user name has their own preferences, while the Administration command offers you a variety of ways to configure the software for all users, such as changing the labels of user-defined fields, modifying access privileges of users, and making fields mandatory to prevent records from being saved without certain information.
You may also log in as a different user and import data from other databases here. Import formats include tab-delimited text, XML (extensible markup language), and a special text format for importing address corrections supplied by third-party services.
The Backup commands in this menu supply manual and scheduled, automated backups. The backup module can be configured to continuously record all changes to the database and provide completely automated restoration in the event of loss or damage to the database. There are also flexible un-do features. This is a backup system that is easy to use and provides real, complete protection, with very minimal configuration.
