Software Prices

Single-User Edition

This edition works on one computer, and no network is required. It will run on Windows XP/Vista/7, or on Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. Price: $1889.00, including shipping within the continental USA, 90 day money back guarantee, and 30 days of free phone support. Email support is free of charge, as long as you maintain the current version (see below for certain exceptions).

Client-Server Edition

The client-server edition allows for use of your data on more than one computer at a time, using any mixture of Mac or Windows computers. A network is required. Prices vary according to the number of concurrent users you want to access the data, as described in the table below. Prices include shipping within the continental USA and 30 days of free telephone support. Email support is free of charge, as long as you maintain the current version (see below for certain exceptions).

You receive full credit for previous purchases when upgrading to additional users, i.e. if you purchase the single-user version, then upgrade to the client-server edition later, we deduct the single-user price you paid from the current client-server price.

FUNDimensions will work with stand-alone word processors such as Microsoft Word, or you may purchase the built-in word processor module for $249 per seat (available only with the client-server edition; not available with the single-user edition). The built-in module offers very easy mail merge, since an export is not required. For more information about the built-in word processor, see the Word Processor tour page.

The Web Server option adds remote access via standard web browsers. Add $249.00 for this option.

Pricing Details

Updates to the software and user manual are available by download from the web site. Updates consisting of minor improvements and bug fixes are free of charge, while major upgrades may require payment of a fee. If you purchase the software within 1 year of a major upgrade, the upgrade will be provided free of charge upon request (may not apply to client-server edition and word processor, because these may involve fees for third-party software).

Free Read-Only Version

All licenses for FUNDimensions include unlimited use of the read-only version. This version allows anyone with a copy of your data file to open it and view the records without additional purchases. The read-only mode is limited to browsing and searching of records; no data entry is possible. Certain sorting and printing capabilities are also provided. Hardware and Operating System Requirements

Our free, downloadable demo provides a good test for compatibility, or consult our requirements page. Note that the FUNDimensions license is cross-platform, so that you can install on Mac or Windows, and switch without purchasing anything else or paying any "sidegrade" fee. The exception is the server platform in the Client-Server Edition, which does require a sidegrade fee for switching.

Database Conversion

While FUNDimensions offers built-in importing, many users with existing databases have needs which exceed those capabilities. We can import most file formats from Windows, DOS, UNIX and Mac equipment. Pricing for this service is on job-by-job basis; we will review a sample of your data and provide a firm price. Please call to request a quote.


Support

By Email

Email support is free of charge for the current version (subject to change without notice at any time), with exceptions described in "Policies" below. Users of older versions will be billed for email support at the same rate as telephone support (see next item).

By Telephone

We offer free telephone support to our customers for 30 days, beginning with the first call. This means we will assist you in setting up your database, as well as responding to regular support issues.

After that period, there are two options for phone support:

  • $300.00 per year, up to 10 calls, 1 solution per call, 30 minutes maximum per call. Additional solutions or calls exceeding 30 minutes count as additional calls. This contract expires after 24 months from receipt of payment, even if all 10 solutions aren't used.

Or

  • $40.00 per incident. More involved issues, multiple replies, support involving an inspection or review of your data file, etc. may double the fee or more. If you are concerned about the final cost of a specific support incident, state your issue and request a quote. Charges are billed via email.

If it is necessary for you to leave a message when calling for support, your call will be returned within 24 hours, or there will be no charge for the call. We respond to technical support calls Monday through Saturday, 9am-9pm Mountain Time, US legal holidays excluded. Other hours may be had by appointment.

Free Installation Support

Support for installing the software is free of charge, any version, by phone or email.

Policies

  • Support policies and fees do not include assistance with custom reports, which is priced separately.
  • All support involving direct examination and/or repair of your data file by technical support personnel will be charged at telephone rates, even if communication is conducted by email.
  • The FUNDimensions license agreement lists additional support policies. Please inquire for a copy of this agreement.

Training

FUNDimensions is designed to be easy, intuitive and direct, and is accompanied by excellent documentation. It is also a specialized tool built for a specialized task, so even the majority of users who master its basics on their own may benefit from some training, especially if they have little or no experience with fundraising software.

To meet training needs, we offer training by telephone, following our own general curriculum and familiarization, or your own agenda, or a combination of these. Our recommended training package is 7 sessions (8.5 hours total), costing $650. It is designed for users new to the program who want to accelerate their initial learning curve and ensure they get the full benefit of the software. It covers the following topics:

  1. Introduction (60 minutes)
  2. Setting up FUNDimensions to meet your needs (60 minutes)
  3. Data entry (90 minutes)
  4. Searching (90 minutes).
  5. Reports I (90 minutes).
  6. Reports II (60 minutes).
  7. Thank You/Recognition Management, and strategies for raising more money for your organization with FUNDimensions (60 minutes).

A surcharge applies if this training is done at your local site instead of by telephone. For telephone training other than the package above, prices are $105 per hour. There is a half-hour minimum charge. Please inquire for pricing on in-person, on-site training.


Custom Reports

Customers sometimes request a special report design be created for them. Before engaging us to create a report for you, consider browsing the several hundred templates that ship with FUNDimensions. The Output menu items of the software allow you to do this. You may discover that the report you want already exists, or that you can easily modify a template to meet your needs, using the Report Editor. Considerable documentation of the report editor and templates is available in the FUNDimensions user manual, including many sample printouts. You may be able to create what you want without our assistance.

If you do choose to have us assist you with the custom report editor or create a turnkey report, our time is billed at $110.00 per hour. The minimum charge per report is $80. These reports come with lifetime free email support.

For report templates that we design for hire, or assist in designing, we retain copyright, including the right to post the report templates we design for you to this web site, include it with FUNDimensions, or otherwise distribute it. This policy makes it possible for all our customers to benefit from the resources we invest in report design and avoids the duplication of redesigning the same report for multiple customers.
